About CustomClox
At CustomClox, we believe that time is more than hours and minutes.
Some time is sacred. Some time changes you. And some time deserves to be remembered—every single day.
What began as a simple woodworking project, inspired by a YouTube video and a bit of curiosity, slowly became something far more meaningful. I created my first clock just to see if I could. Then I made another. And another. With each one, I explored new designs and discovered just how personal and customizable every piece could be.
Everything changed when I created a clock for the daughter of a friend who had just received her mission call to Hungary.
That’s when it truly clicked.
A clock isn’t just something you hang on the wall. It’s something you look at every day. And what if, every time you checked the time, you were reminded of one of the most important seasons of your life—where you served, who you met, and the experiences that shaped you?
That idea became the heart of CustomClox.
Today, every clock is handcrafted—most often from beautiful Western Red Cedar, chosen for its warmth and distinctive grain (though other woods are always available by request). Each clock is custom-designed to reflect a specific mission, including where someone served and the time they gave. No two pieces of wood are alike, and no two clocks are ever the same. Every piece is truly one of a kind.
With the exception of the laser engraving—which I personally design—every step of the process is done by hand. From shaping and finishing the wood to assembling the final piece, each clock receives my full personal attention. To me, craftsmanship means more than precision. It means quality, meaning, beauty, accuracy—and legacy—all in one piece.
These clocks are not mass-produced. They aren’t pulled from a shelf or stamped out by a factory. Each one is built individually, with intention, character, and care. The natural grain of the wood, the custom design, and the personal details make every clock as unique as the story it represents.
Most of my customers are parents and families of missionaries who are searching for a gift that is meaningful, personal, and impossible to replace. The reactions I see—often a big smile followed by a quiet, heartfelt “This is so cool”—never get old. Because these aren’t just clocks. They are reminders of service, faith, sacrifice, and growth.
CustomClox exists for one simple reason: I love working with wood, and I love creating pieces that hold memories worth keeping in view. Whether it’s a missionary clock or a scripture clock, my hope is that every time you glance at one, you’re reminded not just of what time it is—but of what that time meant.
